Overall Campus life is good in this college because there is not much pressure of class on the students except some teachers. College fests are held here and sometimes some singers are also called for performances.

In 2016, I took admission in the first batch of B.Com. Our B.Com Best was the first batch of the village which was for commerce students. Before that B.Com was not taught here. People used to go to Srinagar to complete their B.Com. I am from Pauri Garhwal, so it was a great opportunity for us that we could complete our degree from here and it turned out to be a very good year. We made very good friends and our teachers used to travel up and down from Srinagar to Pauri and keep coming to teach us,I feel very happy even today remembering that day.

Hello Kiran,

To secure admission at Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, in the M.Sc programme, you have to have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university. Admission to the M.Sc programmes is done on the basis of the CUET PG exam. The last date for admission to the PG courses was August 11, 2023, through the counselling process. Therefore chances of admission to HNBGU this year are minimal. It is suggested that you contact the university authorities at 01346-252143 (O) or email at registrar.hnbgu@gmail.com stating your query. You can also ask about the availability of vacancies in the particular programme.

Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask for any more queries.

Dear Prerna Kohli,

The CUET PG application form was available on the National Testing Agency's official website. The deadline for CUET PG 2023 registration was May 11, 2023. NTA also announced the CUET PG test dates 2023, which are planned from June 22 to June 30, 2023. For admission in the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University PG course, you can check the CUET PG Results which was released on July  20, 2023. The Counselling date and Cutoff for CUET PG will be out soon. Kindly keep a check on it.

I hope this helps!

If you have more queries or questions, we would be happy to help.

About HNBGU

For HNBGU admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made the exam dates for both CUET UG and CUET PG 2024 public. The test will be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024 (CUET UG) and from March 11 to March 28, 2024 (CUET PG). To secure admission to HNBGU Garhwal in the various UG and PG courses offered here, taking the Common University Entrance Test is mandatory.

HNBGU or Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, previously known as Garhwal University, was established in 1973. It was renamed in 1989 to honour the ex-chief minister of UP, Honourable Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna. In 2009, the university was made a central university. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade A. HNBGU Garhwal has three campuses, namely, BCC Campus Srinagar, BGR Campus Pauri, and SRT Campus Tehri. The university has 11 schools of study under which all the courses are offered.

Popular HNBGU courses are B.Tech, MBA, MCA, B.Ed, B.Pharm, M.Sc Microbiology, and LLB. HNBGU admission to UG and PG courses like B.Sc, BA, B.Com, and more students need to pass the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Similarly, for B.Tech admission JEE Main score is required if seats remain vacant after CUET UG merit list admission.

HNBGU campus offers facilities like hostel accommodations for male and female students, a library, medical facilities, a foreign student office, and more. The HNBGU placement is offered to students who are in their final year of the course. The university has a Career Counseling and Placement Service Centre, which conducts the yearly placement drive at the campus. HNBGU median salary for the two-year PG course in 2022 was Rs 5,20,000 per annum.
